Dog Wardens Hold Open House

Clark County held an Open House at their new dog shelter on Thursday, October 26, 2017.  Clark County Commissioner Rick Lohnes and Auditor John Federer made an appearance at the event to engage with constituents and see their reaction to the facility.

The small shelter was opened in early September and now holds regular hours for anyone who needs to redeem a dog or is interested in adopting one of the available dogs who were not claimed by their owners in a timely manner.

The shelter is located at 3673 Middle Urbana Road and is open Monday – Saturday from 12 pm – 3 pm except for holidays.  Lost dogs can be seen on their web page at www.clarkcountyohio.gov, select My Government and scroll down to Other Departments and select Dog Warden.  The shelter also has a Facebook Page that features photos of dogs and other information.  You can reach them for additional information at  521-2140.  You can learn more about fees to redeem your dog or related to adoption on their web site and social media page.
