The Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on Shrine Road just West of Upper Valley Pike.

At approximately 11:55 am on May 3, 2017 a Chevrolet Pick-up, driven by Randy Ford, 58, of Springfield, Ohio was traveling north bound on Shrine Road when he drove left of center and struck a Kia Optima head-on that was traveling south on Shrine Road. The Abilities Connection (also known as TAC Industries, Inc.) has been issued a significant increase to a previous government contract for the manufacture of aircraft cargo nets. 

The modification details a need for an additional 148,000 cargo nets shipped to the U.S.  Air Force by March 2019.  Production at the Springfield facilities will increase from about 3,000 nets per month to an average of 7,000 cargo nets per month.…
