At the July 11, 2018 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners accepted two grants from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the County Engineer. The first grant for $899,925 is to replace the North Hampton Road Bridge.  The second grant is for $224,000 to resurface New Carlisle Pike. Both grants run from July 1, 2018 through July 30, 2019.

For the Transportation Director, the commissioners authorized a contract with Ohio Public Works Commission for $65,000 for the Clark County Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee to provide administrative services for District 11 Public Works Integrating Committee effective July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

For the Department of Job and Family Services (DJFS), the commissioners approved an increase in the contract with Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc. by $37,200 to extend the contract an additional year.  The contract provides Early Head Start program services for up to eight children in the DJFS caseload.  The contract is effective through June 30, 2019.

In addition, the commissioners adopted the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and Civil Rights Plan effective July 11, 2018. The purpose of this Limited English Proficiency plan is to provide at no cost to the LEP individuals or families access to program information, benefits and services to clients who may have limited English proficiency.

For the Coroner, the commissioners accepted an increase in the grant with the Ohio Department of Health to extend the deadline to August 31, 2018 to create a database for case information.

Furthermore, the commissioners approved a ditch petition filed Robert Conner in Bethel Township requesting construction of a ditch, drain, waterway, tile or other improvements to control water beginning of the property of Francis R. Hogue.

The next meeting of the Clark County Commissioners is scheduled for July 18, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room at 50 E Columbia Street.
