The Clark County SPCA had a line starting at 8:30 am on Friday for folks from as far away as Dublin, Ohio who saw their First Anniversary posts on social media.  The big attraction was the opportunity to adopt one of six adorable puppies that came just in time for the celebration.

It wasn’t just puppies that drew in the crowd, folks also waited patiently to drop off donations to help them celebrate their “paper” first anniversary.  People have dropped off or purchased gift cards, paper products and the all types of generous donations to the shelter this past week.  Hawke was overwhelmed each time by the generosity of the people coming to her bright pink door.

Thanks to the generous donations of members of the community and the individuals who wanted to share their home with a furry friend, 9 dogs and 1 kitten went home on Friday with more adoptions anticipated at PetSmart on Saturday.

Congratulations to Director Krissi Hawke and her volunteers for making so many people happy this past year by helping to save the cats and dogs of Clark County.
