At the January 31, 2018 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, the commissioners accepted a grant for Adult Probation that provides additional grant money from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Division of Parole and Community Services and Bureau of Community Sanctions for $74.962 for a total of $374,808 for community-based corrections program services effective July 1, 2917 through March 31, 2019.  Commission Lowell McGlothin said, ā€œIā€™m really glad to see us get the additional grant money to assist with rehabilitation services.ā€ 

Commission Melanie Flax-Wilt expressed her approval of the additional funds as well.

For Building and Grounds, the commissioners authorized a contract with A-1 Able Pest Doctors for $17,493 to provide general pest control services for county offices.  The contract is effective November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2022.

For the County Engineer, the commissioners authorized Northwest Consultants, Inc. to survey and develop right-of-way plans for the replacement of a North Hampton Road Bridge effective January 31, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

In addition, they acknowledged bids and awarded contracts for the following products; Asphalt Concrete to Shelly materials, Inc., Barrett Paving Materials, Inc., and A&B Asphalt Corporation; Ready Mix Concrete to Piqua Concrete, Bryce Hill, Inc. and Ernst Concrete; Bituminous Cold Mix to Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. Valley Asphalt Corporation, and Hei-Way LLC; and Aggregate to Enon Sand & Gravel, and Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. Multiple unit price contracts were awarded for the same item because of individual item price variations and to provide secondary sources depending on job location and material availability.

In regular business, the commissioners rescheduled the regular commissioners meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 to Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room.
